11th Nov Tuesday, it was the veteran’s day parade on 5th Avenue.The American public show their appreciation of all the older people who fought and died in WW1 and WW2. There was a lot of praising and clapping and applause. But the Japanese people here have mixed feelings about it and maybe they didn’t want to celebrate such an event. by Takeuchi T.

11月の第３週：今週のレッスンでは ⬇を 英訳してください〜と、ディビット氏から宿題がでました。
チャレンジしてみましょう。

これは値の付けられない貴重な経験なのです。
私たちの毎日の生活の中で チャレンジなしでは簡単に退屈し無気力に落ち込んでしまいます。
広島から井上姉妹: all the way form Hiroshima 井上涼さんと姓が同じ Skypeレッスンを受講されている 広島の井上さんがお姉様と広島から東京へいらっしゃいました。 「声」がその人の精神や心を表すと〜言いますが、お二人は外観が美しいだけでなく、声もとても美しいこ姉妹です。Skypeでは顔を見ないでやることが多いのですが、井上さんは声がいつも美しいの一言！自然な心が洗われる声をされているのにはいつも感動します。 (涼さんのyoutube番組を大変賞賛されています。また同じ井上よ！と) Also Sayaka-san and her sister visited here all the way form Hiroshima by plane. Those are vegetables which were grown in her garden. この写真はさや子さんのお宅の菜園での収穫です。They are so amazing, all kinds of vegetables. There are almost 18 kinds of vegetables and fruit.大変に驚きで~あらゆる種類の野菜,ハーブや果物18種類ほど…写真には全部入りきれませんでした。Her parents grow them in a natural way. She made a great dish of salad, like this.ご姉妹のご両親が自然農法、趣味で栽培されているそうです。(ジャングルみたいで、あまり手間はかけていないの〜と)
David “She’s made good progress since beginning Maggie’s English classes . The lessons are short but frequent and they are all via Skype which has been fruitful.” ディビット「さや子だんはマギのSkypeレッスンで大変な進歩を遂げました。すべてSkypeによるレッスンですが、時間は(一回２０分ほど)短いですが、頻繁に受講されるのでとても効果があります。」
Mochizuki san will be holding a workshop on how to take photos.
It will be starting from January 2015 in Fjujisawa. 望月さんは来年１月から藤沢市でワークショップをスタートするそうです。
The theme is how to take wonderful photos of your cooking by i-phone, digital camera or any camera of your choice. テーマは「貴方のお料理の写真の取り方」i-フォーン、デジタル・カメラ、貴方の選ぶカメラを使って〜 This is a photo which Mochizuki took yesterday with Maggie’s camera. この写真は昨日11月13日マギのカメラを使って、望月さんが写真を取ってくださいました。
She usually has to skip lessons, however she visited our school in Tokyo yesterday. And we did some cooking. 望月さんは毎週マギSkypeレッスンを受講してくださってます。昨日は東京の教室に訪問されてのレッスンで、お料理もしました。(横浜から東京の教室に通われていたのですが、最近Skypeレッスンで短くても回数を多くされました、望月さん大変な進歩をされて高いレベルに挑戦されています。暖かさに溢れる美人カメラマンの望月小夜加さん。)

I bought a round trip ticket to Salisbury (to see Stonehenge ), When I bought the round trip ticket, although I had to pick two tickets from the ticket machine I only picked one.
So when I came back from Salisbury I wasn’t able to use the ticket that I thought was a round trip ticket. At the ticket office, the station conductor said “It’s your mistake, anyway you have to buy an extra ticket to London”
I even showed the receipt of the round trip ticket. She said “NO!”
I felt very miserable and thought the British were very strict. Moreover unless I ran to get the train, I wouldn’t have made it. I didn’t have leeway to memorize the platform number which the lady told me. When I turned back to try to ask the number she was already making a hand signal for number two.
