Then the next thing, he was asking to take us to a jewelry shop. But by this time our patience was running out and we didn’t want to put up with anymore nonsense. We said “NO!! NO more of this ! “ We made our stance very clear, so he finally drove to the port where the boat leaves for Wat pho. Anyway, It was quite a scary experience that we had. Be careful, when you are abroad.

Wat pho by Yanagi

エ〜コワ〜イ!!(英語と日本語) My friend and I were planning to visit a Buddhist temple called Wat pho. In order to get there, we had to get to a port by taxi. So, we took a tuktuk. The tuktuk driver took us to a port. However, there were no tourists around. We thought that it was the wrong place. And they were asking an extortionate price. So we refused to pay. Then the tuktuk driver offered to take us to a shopping center before reaching the proper port. Because he was able to get a free gasoline ticket there. So, we compromised to his request. When we reached the shopping center, we smelled another rat, because there were about 10 men just doing nothing but playing with their smart phones. We felt there was danger, we just pretended to be shopping for 10minuets, just browsing around. A shop keeper finally came up to us and gave us a gasoline ticket. Next, we went back to the tuktuk driver. Then the next thing, he was asking to take us to a jewelry shop. The adventure continues.

If I was (were) an Onigiri, By Dr.Sakamoto /

“Our daily meal and Fukushima nuclear power plant. ”
Maggie sensei has taught me that, in Japan, 68% of food is wasted every day.
It seems to mean each of us discard two Onigiris per day.
It’ s a sad story.
If I was (were) an Onigiri, I wouldn’t want to be treated in such a way. But I have done many such pitiful deeds. One side of this fact shows that such action would damage our souls and bodies.
Another side is when we grow or get food, we need to have a great amount of energy, for example, sunshine, soil, petrol, electric energy, natural gas etc.
Not only for food, but also for many industrial reasons, some people need nuclear power plants which can produce tremendous energy.
If we prepared our own meals, we could reduce food and energy waste as much as possible.
Cooking is fun. Cooking is discovery. Cooking could avoid wasting food and life.
And someday, it could be possible to eliminate nuclear power stations.
I hope that Maggie sensei’s teaching = cooking makes our planet a safer place becomes reality.

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, Bible Psalm 37:1-9

The Phantom by Takeuchi

I watches The Phantom of the opera at the Broadway theater.
I got a cheap ticket, so my seat was at the top of the theater in a box seat. But, I was still able to enjoy the show.
Anyhow, I though that If there were cheep family size tickets in Japan, it would be very nice.

Time Square is always crowded, but I heard that this area is a terrorist target for attacks, now. So I’m afraid of going near that place.IMG_0323 IMG_0322
